Atmosphere Movers Helps to Move Library in Baton Rouge

Atmosphere Movers Is The Experienced Way To Move Any Business, University, or Commercial Project

From left, Chris Hanson, Harris Hall-Narro, Skylar Cade and Chri Utley, workers with Mandeville-based Atmosphere Movers, push shrink-wrapped carts filled with books toward the front entrance of the new River Center Branch Library at 250 North Blvd., as they task on the second day of transferring items there from the library’s temporary location in the Kress Building, Thursday, February 20, 2020. The Kress Building location at 447 Third Street will close at 6 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 21, and will remain closed, beginning Saturday, February 22, allowing staff to vacate and movers to continue transferring the book and audio visual collection, computers, and equipment to the new, permanent location next week. About 27,000 items will make the move from the temporary location, said branch manager Allison Cooper. An opening date for the new River Center Branch has not yet been announced, as work continues on the punch list, and other support systems are brought online. Additional parts of the library’s collection that were in storage must also be moved to the new building and shelved, as final preparations continue.
